The House She’d Never Seen

She knew every inch of the town, and yet she'd never seen that house in her entire life. The next thing she noticed was the astounding resemblance it has to her own house. It was in the middle of nowhere and not a single living creature could be seen or heard around it. She wanted to enter the house but was too scared to go in alone.
But after taking a deep breath she brought the courage and stepped forwards towards the door. But just before she was about to knock she realised she had no idea how she even ended up being there and this thought made her heart pound like a jackhammer. She wanted to leave the place as soon as possible but the rush of adrenaline made her knock regardless.
The door opened and what she saw made her faint on the spot. When she finally woke up, she realized she was not in the same place where she fainted; instead, it was a room with white walls, floors, and a ceiling. The door was closed, and there was a glass full of water beside her bed.
She felt thirsty but was hesitant to drink it.
It seemed to her as if she had traveled into a parallel universe. As a physicist, she was both thrilled and terrified of the possibility.
She left the bed to open the door, but it was closed from the outside. The mere thought of being trapped in the room forever made her shiver with fear. She started pounding on the door with all of her strength. She wanted to scream at the top of her lungs but was unable to do so.
She collapsed on the floor and started crying but then suddenly the door opened and what she saw made her jaw drop. It was her house her family and herself.
