Calling Back the Shadows
I used to be afraid of the dark. I was scared of the monsters under my bed when I sleep and behind me when I walk. But now that I have nowhere to turn, I miss those monsters. Those were my monsters, but just like my childhood toys disappeared, the monsters disappeared too. I wonder whose child they haunt now. They are not as bad as people make them out to be. They scared me but never hurt me in any form. I want to call them back, but I'm afraid they won't come. Which language do they speak? I want to learn the language of ghosts. I want to know how it feels to embrace a ghost. Do ghosts cry too? Are there ghosts who haunt ghosts, or do they only haunt people? I personally have never seen one, but I have experienced their presence. One of them tapped on my shoulder once. I got so scared I had to leave the room as I was alone in it. Do ghosts age too? How can they not, as they are still in the fabric space time and time stops for nobody? But all the horror movies seem to think otherwise.
